Have fun, meet people and learn new skills with Eden Education, situated in our Education and Training studio. We are developing a variety of excellent value workshops and courses for children and adults in areas from gardening and floristry to art and design.


Please note our terms and conditions where Eden Gardens reserves the right to adjust course / workshop times, locations and Tutors within the Eden Education program. Eden Education does not generally give refunds or transfers within 14 days of a program. The exceptions are when a course is cancelled by Eden Education or in special circumstances for which a written request may be required.


Spring Education 2010

   Continuous Colour Native Gardens Workshop NEW

Do you want to create a garden full of seasonal colour using Australian native plants? Explore the basics of garden design to create modern Australian gardens with a Linton’s Horticulturist. Topics include: using different garden styles and colour themes, focal points and features, and selecting native plants for year round interest. Then join a member of the horticultural team from the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne for a tour of the Australian Garden, during the most spectacular season, wildflower season!  Learn about the techniques, tricks and tips used by RBG Cranbourne staff to make a spectacular and colourful Australian Garden.

School Holiday Programs
Get your kids out of the house and into the gardens these school holidays with our fun and educational kids activities. For just $15 per child per session, they’re great value.

Let your child discover the wonder of backyard veggies and take home the start of your own garden.

Find out all about Australian native plants and pot up a habitat plant to take home.

  Gardening Skills Course
Whether you have an outdoor or indoor garden, balcony or courtyard, sign up for this hands-on introductory gardening course and learn all you need to know to start and maintain your own garden. Topics include: plant selection, planting, potting, watering, fertilising, soils, mulch and basic pest disease and weed control. Our small class sizes mean you have direct access to our expert tutor and can ask them specific questions about your own situation.
5 weeks, 2 hours a week

Starting Friday 15th October or Saturday 6th November, 10am – 12noon,
$165 including morning tea and notes
  Kitchen Gardens Workshop
Discover the fresh flavour of home grown herbs and vegetables! Join a horticulturist and learn to grow your own in this workshop, which includes a hands-on propagation session. Topics covered include: different varieties, planting times, site selection, soil preparation, cultivation and plant care.

Saturday 23rd October, 10am -12noon

  Little Green Thumbs – Spring NEW
Share in your toddler’s delight as you explore the fascinating world of gardens and plants together. This fun session involves games, craft and gardening activities. Suitable for 3-5 year olds, who must be accompanied by an adult.

  Basic Garden Design Workshop NEW
Planning a garden makeover or renovation? This workshop covers the basics of garden design including styles, sustainable design, site analysis, plant selection and more.

Summer Education 2010

 
  Organic Gardening Workshop
Join a horticulturist and find out how to get started with sustainable, earth friendly organic gardening. Be inspired and learn about organic pest and disease management, compost and worm farming, companion planting, Permaculture, how to make a no-dig veggie garden and more… Includes a hands-on propagation session.
